Competition introduction
This is a single quiz competition. In this competition, questions are mainly asked from the history of robotics, basic concepts, electronics, analytical mathematical problems, basic programming. Question type can be MCQ or one word answer.
Registration
To participate in the robotics quiz competition, registration should be done by duly filling the prescribed registration form on the website of Bangladesh Robot Olympiad. A scanned copy of either Birth Registration Certificate or Passport or Educational Institution ID Card must be submitted as proof of age at the time of registration. No registration fee is required to participate in Robotics Quiz Competition. Registration for Bangladesh Robot Olympiad will automatically register for Robotics Quiz.
Participation in competition
This year the Robotics Quiz competition will be held in two phases. First all the contestants will participate in the selection phase online. The national competition will be held offline directly at the venue with the best students selected from the selection round. Participation in online selection is mandatory. There is no chance to participate in the national round if you are not selected for the national round after participating in the selection round.
Online Selection
Online selection will be held on the scheduled day in Google form. This online session held for 30 minutes will have specific questions to be answered in the Google form. The list of those who will be selected in the online selection phase will be published and only those will be able to participate in the offline national phase.
National Round
Olympiad question papers will be given directly in the national stage. Time will be 30 minutes. The total number of questions is not fixed. Some questions will be of MCQ format, each question will have four options and one correct answer. Along with MCQs, there will be some one word/sentence answer-like questions.
Questions will be in Bengali and English language.
However, it should be noted that questions which do not have any MCQ option and require a one-word answer, will basically ask for a number as the answer. These numbers or digits should be written in English digits, digits cannot be written in Bengali. For example, if someone answers 4, then it must be assumed that he has written 8 or eight in English, but not 4 or four in Bengali. 1 mark will be allotted for each question in the quiz. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The competition will start and end at a pre-announced scheduled time. Final winners will be selected from the national round.
